Kenneth Garth Beckstrom
IVINS, Kenneth Garth Beckstrom, passed away October 17, 2008.
He was born December 20, 1930 in Mt. Pleasant, UT, to Charles Gowns and Agnes LoRee Deakin Beckstrom.
Kenneth graduated from Jordan High School in 1949.
He is a Veteran of the Korean War serving as an MP from 1950 to 1952.
Kenneth was a shovel operator for more than thirty four years at Kennecott Copper.
He married Karon Morrell in the Salt Lake LDS Temple October 25, 1954.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Karon, five children Lynn of Midvale, Gayle of Richfield, Terri Ann Hansin of Centerville, Kent of Elisnore, Stan of Bountiful, one brother Darrell of West Jordan, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He helped raise four grandchildren; Josh, Elaine, Brandon, Tyler and great-grandchild Lily the apple of G. pa’s eye.
He is preceded in death by his brother LaGrand of West Jordan, baby brother Darwin, one sister Myrle Foist of Silver City New Mexico and both parents.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday October 21, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. at the Bicknell LDS chapel. With a viewing 11:00 to 12:15 prior to services.
Interment Grover Cemetery.
Military honors will be done by the Harold Brown American Legion Post 92.
