Welcome to the memorial page for

Darl Eugene Wolfe

March 16, 1930 ~ August 26, 2017 (age 87)

The Piano Brothers

1930 - 2017

Darl Eugene Wolfe was born on March 16, 1930 to his parents Ralph William Wolfe and Mary Ann McCarty Wolfe in Grant County, West Virginia.  He passed away August 26, 2017 in St. George, Utah.

Darl was extremely proud of his West Virginia heritage and enjoyed sharing stories about growing up in the hills.  He began working at a very young age to help support his family and developed a tremendous life-long work ethic.  In work, he strived to always make the next job better than the last and to never leave a job before it was finished.  At 18, Darl and his brothers joined the Navy and on occasion served together.  He loved our country and was a proud Veteran of the Korean War. While in the Navy he learned to weld and spent more than 40 years welding and fitting steel and pipe. Late in his career, we learned he had artistic talents as he began designing and fabricating intricate metal railings, staircases and fireplace screens.

While passing through the Heber City area on a job, Darl met his future wife, Norma Evans, who was waiting tables at a small café.  It was love at first sight and they were married on April 19, 1958.  They were blessed with four children.

After retiring, Darl and Norma enjoyed parking their trailer along the Provo River for weeks at a time making countless friends and acquaintances.  Darl could talk for hours with anyone about anything. He was always quick with a joke and would help anyone in need.

Darl was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had an unshakeable testimony of his Savior.  Despite challenges and trials, Darl always relied on his testimony of the Savior for strength.

Darl is survived by his beautiful bride Norma Evans Wolfe, daughters Darlene Wyman and Diane (Brett) Muse, sons Brad (Roxann) Wolfe and Todd (Bridgette) Wolfe, 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Darl was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Pauline, his brothers Ray, Doyle and Donny; his father and mother-in-law Glyndon Evans and Lavern North Evans; and grandson Justin Wyman.

Dad’s greatest accomplishments are and always will be his family and the many friendships he made and enjoyed throughout his life. He will be greatly missed.

For family and friends interested, we will have a celebration of Dad’s life on Saturday September 9, 2017 from 12:00-2:00pm at 10975 South Prescott Drive (1630 East) Sandy, Utah 84092

As a final act of service, Darl donated his remains to the University of Utah School of Medicine for medical research.

In lieu of flowers, please share a story or memory of Darl.
