Winifred (Win) Alice Fulde Barney born August 26, 1938 in Elgin, Illinois. She went home to be with the Lord, December 11, 2018 in St. George, Utah.
Win was a well respected and accomplished artist. She has worked in several mediums over the years from pencil, pen and ink, oil paints, acrylic paints, water colors as well as creating pottery. Her work has been shown in galleries and shops in St. George and Kanab, Utah. She was highly involved in the St. George and Kanab art scene, with membership in the Watercolor Society as well as the Art Guild. Her talent will be greatly missed.
Win was raised and attended school in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Her love for being an artist began while still a young girl in Jr/Sr. High school. She was always working to perfect her art. She has held jobs over the years as a bookkeeper, Teachers aid, Insurance Agent/Office Manager, and a Business owner with her husband.
Win enjoyed traveling, boating, as well as Jeeping with her husband Roger and friends. She was a animal lover, having had dogs and cats as pets her whole life. She had a marvelous green thumb and enjoyed growing many different vegetables and fruits. She enjoyed canning, freezing, baking and cooking.
She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Roger K. Barney, stepchildren Brian Barney, Randy Barney, Tammy Barney, Deborah Barney, their spouses and grandchildren. Nieces, Leslie C. Dodge, Patricia L. Schroeder, Deborah S. Koontz and nephew Roger A. Condron, their spouses as well as grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Private family services will be held at a later date.
