Alma Fritzsche

August 9, 1929 — August 25, 2017

Alma George Fritzsche, 88, returned home to join his eternal companion on August 25, 2017.  He had been living in St. George for the past 28 years.  Al was born on August 9, 1929 in Salt Lake City to George Richard and Gertrude Fritzsche.  He married the love of his life Jeanine Jackson on December 9, 1953.  They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple.

Dad was full of life and laughter and was always the life of any party.  He will always be remembered for his keen sense of humor and his ability to make everyone feel an instant welcome in his presence.  His life stories and lessons will bring fond memories to all who had the good fortune to know him.  He had the special gift of a warm personality that put all at ease.

Al was the consummate salesman and won many industry awards and recognition for his accomplishments in his profession.  We are grateful and indebted to Paul and Todd (owners of Ashley Furniture) who treated him like family.

He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints and served faithfully in many offices and callings during his lifetime.  He filled an honorable mission for the church in Germany which set the tone for his dedication to the Savior for the rest of his life.

Al is survived by his children Gary (Kathy) Fritzsche, Lani (Steve) Herd, Craig (Kristin) Fritzsche, Susan (Bill) Butler, Steve Fritzsche;  30 grandchildren, 51 great-grand-children.  He is also survived by his older sister Evelyn Vicchirilli and sister-in-law Geneal Fritzsche.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 29th at 1:00 pm at the LDS Westridge Ward located at 415 Westridge Drive, St. George UT.  A viewing will be held at 11:30 - 12:45 at the same location.  Interment will be at the Tonaquint Cemetery.

We will miss you Al but take solace that you are with loved ones in a far better place. Auf wiedersehen Dad.
