Amy Louise MacDonald Bynum died peacefully the morning of September 21, 2011 in St. George, UT after a long decline of dementia and health problems. She was born to Edwin L. MacDonald and Ellen Trow on May 5, 1919 in Long Beach, CA. In 1940 she married Florin Frank Bynum in Las Vegas, NV. They had three daughters; Claudia Ann Bynum, Deanna E-Lane Bynum and Deborah Jean Bynum.

Amy lived most of her life in Southern California area. The last three years she lived in the Beehive Home in Washington, UT. After the death of her oldest daughter in 1954, she went back to school and got her teaching degree in special education. She taught for 22 years with the Los Angeles City School District. She loved to learn and spent many years traveling the world and learning about different cultures. She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and fulfilled many callings. Her faith in God was very strong and she loved the Lord more than anything else.

Amy is survived by her two daughters: Deanna Watkins and Deborah McBrearty.

Graveside Services will be Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Washington City Cemetery.
