Beverly Derr

Beverly L. Derr, 89 died at her home in St. George, Utah on April 12, 2017.  Beverly was born in 1928 in Millcreek, Utah to Vera and Vern Peterson. She lived in the Salt Lake City area until the early 40’s.  She then moved to California where she met Edwin L. Derr.  Ed was transferred to Hawaii, so Beverly went with him and the two were married August 10, 1952. They were then transferred to Santa Clara, CA. The family then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, Omaha, Nebraska, back to SLC, to Sandy, Utah and then St. George, Utah.

Beverly had too many jobs to name them all.  She loved to draw, paint, do ceramics and lapidary, crochet, knit and sew.  Ed and Bev loved to go rock hounding in their dune buggy with their dog Bear in Wyoming, Utah, Arizona and Nevada.

She is survived by her children: Lana (Jim) Bell of Los Banos, CA, Lonny (Diane) Derr of Orange, CA, and Lorri (Randy) Anderson of Layton, Utah; grandchildren: Jim Bell of Santa Clara, CA and Michele Derr of Orange, CA; and great granddaughter, Kasi Derr of Orange, CA.
