Brian Paul Russell, age 21, passed away in St. George, Utah on May 19, 2026, leaving behind a world that feels far too quiet without his jokes, playlists, and unforgettable one-liners.
Born on December 13, 2004, in Provo, to Chris and Sonia Russell. Brian went to school at American Fork High School as well as Desert Hills High School. Brian had a gift for making people feel like friends within minutes of meeting him. Whether you knew him for years or only crossed paths briefly, chances are he made you laugh, quoted a movie at exactly the right moment, or insisted you listen to “just one more song” from one of his legendary playlists.
He was equal parts sweet and sarcastic — the kind of person who could tease while still making you feel completely loved. His humor came effortlessly, his heart was enormously kind, and his presence was unforgettable.
Brian loved music deeply, especially marathon sessions of Rock Band where he somehow turned every living room into a sold-out concert. He could communicate in movie quotes better than most people communicate in full sentences, and his playlists were less “mixes” and more carefully crafted emotional experiences. Every song had meaning, and every playlist told a story.
Brian also had a way of holding onto the magic in life, something everyone could see through his love of all things Disney. He always kept a bag packed because, to him, every day held the possibility of a Disneyland trip.
More than anything, Brian had a rare way of making everyone feel loved and a little happier. Friends became family around him, strangers became friends, and laughter followed wherever he went.
He is survived by his parents, Chris and Sonia Russell, and his siblings Michelle, Amanda, TJ, Emma, Sariah, Jon, and Matt.
