Bruce Ray Dame

February 8, 1956 — July 25, 2025

St. George, Utah

Born February 8, 1956 and was raised in Ogden, Utah. He enjoyed a special closeness with his Grandpa Ray, especially at “the farm”. Bruce was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Bonneville High School. He then joined the building trades where he became a journeyman pipe-fitter and welder for the next 30 years. Retirement days allowed him to concentrate on his life long hobby of trap shooting, where he excelled. Bruce had shooting friends throughout Utah and several of the surrounding states where he visited many of the gun clubs. When possible, he loved teaching and coaching family members, where he flourished . He collected medals and trophies including a gold medal from his first competition at the Huntsman World Senior Games .

Bruce was shooting and competing just days before his passing where he scored 99/100.

He loved traveling throughout the states as well as Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, etc.

To everyone’s surprise, he loved classical music with a touch of ENYA. He was boldly independent and generous. He loved to share a great meal with family and friends. We’ll miss you Bruce!

He is survived by his mother Carolyn Hall, brother Mike (Maureen) sister Patty (Bill), his nieces and nephew and their 9 kids that called him “Uncle Bruce”.
