Carl Smily Baldwin, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025, in Washington, UT, at the age of 78. Born on April 26, 1947, in Oxnard, CA, he was the son of Lawrence Baldwin and Carolyn Robinson Baldwin.
Carl earned a BS degree in computer engineering, which laid the groundwork for a career in technology. His dedication to his profession was matched only by his passion for life and adventure. Known for his zest for experience, Carl embraced hobbies such as dirt bike racing and downhill skiing, often sharing these thrills with family and friends. Additionally, his fascination with flight saw him attain a private pilot's license, allowing him to explore the skies and indulge his adventurous spirit.
He was married to Geneva Bulick, who stood by him as a constant source of support and love. Together, they shared a life filled with memories, challenges, and triumphs. He is survived by his wife, Geneva; son, Christopher Baldwin of Fort Myers, Florida; brother, Wahab (Lawerence) Baldwin of Portland, OR; sister, Holly Baldwin of Portland, OR; former wife, Linda Hilbert; and granddaughter, River Baldwin.
Services to honor Carl's life and legacy will be held at a later date.
