Carl left us much too soon; he’ll be so dearly missed.

Our hearts are heavy.

But the love and support we’ve received have been an incredible boon.

Carl Alma Lambert arrived in this world on December 3, 1947.  His parents, Quayle Cannon and Bertha Buehner Lambert had received a little slice of heaven.

He grew up in Holladay, Utah, graduated from Skyline High, joined the National Guard; then served a mission in the Central Atlantic States for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where his 2 years dedicated to the Lord flew by.

He came home and met JoAnn, a girl as pretty as she was sassy. They fell in love and were married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 25, 1970.

Carl worked in cabinetry and worked hard to get the job done right. He and JoAnn, along with their 3 children, always found a way to play. Carl had the soul of a cowboy and was his happiest in the great outdoors. To be with those he loved was all that he wanted at the end of the day.

As he bids farewell for just a little bit, Carl would love us to picture him riding off into the sunset. So here’s to our dad, husband, grandpa and friend… the footprints you left on our hearts and the smile that brightened our days, we will never ever forget!

Carl is survived by his wife, JoAnn; daughter Sherri (Joel); sons Gary (Kyanne) and Lance (Desiree); and eight grandkids he adored.

He is also survived by his sisters Carol, Joyce and Jean; and brothers Fred and Rob. Carl was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Raymond.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday June 3, 2023 at 1:00 PM with a viewing prior to services from 11:00 AM-12:30 PM at the Brighton Point Chapel, 3455 East Bengal Blvd, (Cottonwood Heights), Salt Lake City, Utah.

The interment will follow directly after at Mountain View Memorial Estates Cemetery, 3115 East Bengal Blvd.
