Carol Lee

March 7, 1951 — October 18, 2017


Carol Ann Nielson Lee, 66, Joined her Father in heaven on October 18, 2017 in Gainesville, Ga. She was born on March 7, 1951 in Mesa, Arizona to Dorothy and Giles Nielson.  She has two sisters; Donna Johnson, Barbara Garlick and her brother Ken Nielson.
Carol was raised in Portland, Oregon.

She attended Ricks college. Then went to BYU where she met her husband David Lee.  She also attended SUU and completed her higher education. She was sealed for time and all eternity in the Mesa Arizona temple to David A. Lee. (they later divorced). They raised their six daughters in Ivins, Utah.  She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints where she enjoyed serving in many callings.  She was an excellent mother, chef, seamstress, and friend.  She enjoyed teaching in the home and at school, cooking, camping, singing, playing the piano, socializing and serving others.  She was always there for anyone who needed her.  She was always looking for the good in others.

She is survived by David Lee and her six children: Michelle and Jeff Clark of Enterprise, UT, Heidi and JC Wilkinson of Gainesville, GA, Rayna and Kenny Olsen of St. George, UT, Jenny and Joey Hochevar of Avondale, AZ, Rachel and Hance Christiansen of Ivins, UT,  Manda and Ray Williams of Ivins, UT. She has 25 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; Sister; Donna Johnson of Vancouver, WA.  Brother; Ken and Mary Loiuse Nielson of Washougal, WA, Brother in law; Don Garlick of Portland, OR.

She was preceded in death by her parents Giles and Dorothy Nielson; sister Barbara Jean Garlick, brother in law; Charlie Johnson

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 27, 2017 at 11:00am at the Ivins 8th Ward Chapel, 290 East 1060 South, Ivins, Ut. A viewing will be from 9:30am-10:45 am at the same location. Interment will be at the Ivins Cemetery 200 West 400 North, Ivins, Ut.
