Caroline Veronica Walford Wilber Key born Dec. 23, 1931, died August 4, 2023 (91-1/2), surrounded by her family in St. George, Utah. Her Father delivered her at their home on Sarah Street, North Hollywood CA, where she grew up attending Saint Charles Church and Our Lady of Corvallis High School.

Caroline married Richard Charles Wilber on June 30, 1951. From this union they had six children. They later divorced. Richard died November 22, 2013. She married George Franklin Key Jr. on November 10, 1962. He brought to the marriage four children.  Together they raised 10 children in Simi Valley, CA. She was proud to say that five of those children & four grandchildren served in the Armed Forces.  Upon their retirement from Bendix Corp., they moved to Stella, Missouri where they resided for 23 years near family.

They enjoyed square dancing and traveling to visit family and friends. They were members of St. Canera Catholic Church in Neosho, MO. Their friends there remembered her wonderful smile, sense of humor, and their dressing alike. Frank died December 19, 2010. Soon after, Caroline returned to Thousand Oaks, CA. She was cared for by her family enjoying her 3:00 pm coffee time on the front porch and getting her hair done every week. They would often go see her nephew, Adam, at Zen’s in Westlake who sang her favorite Frank Sinatra songs or playing Bunko with her friends. She attended St. Pascal Baylon Church.

For the last year of her life, she resided in St. George, Utah at Seasons Health, and Rehab. Their professional & personal care made her time there enjoyable. Her family visited and cared for her nearly every day.  Caroline never met a stranger. She lovingly crocheted afghans for her family and friends. She was known for her great pies & salsa. Her bucket list included an Alaskan cruise & trip to New York to see the Today Show with Hoda’s interview & Broadway play “Hello Dolly”.

She was proceeded in her passing by her parents John Sturges Walford and Winifred Irene Smith. Her siblings Eugenia, Florence, John, and Eddie. Many Aunts and Uncles, a niece Eileen, and two Great-Grandchildren Cora and Corbin.
