Chistopher (Borst) Nikola

April 24, 1962 — August 12, 2017

Christopher Joseph (Borst) Nikola, 55, formerly from Ellsworth/Plum City, WI area, passed away peacefully at his home in La Verkin, UT, on Saturday, August 12th, 2017.

Chris was born in Red Wing, MN to Richard R. Borst and Charlotte A. (Hase) Borst.

Chris had an incredible, brilliant mind that never stopped working.  He could build anything he set his mind to.  His passions were guitar, electronics, and energy alchemy.  He had a very big heart and always did what he said he was going to do.  His energy was like fire, always moving in one way or another.  He was an incredibly strong and courageous man.  Fear did not exist with him.   His belief was “why not”?  Chris loved his garden, health, stereos (he could build a stereo system that would put a concert to shame!), and reading.   Chris's love for the freedom, tranquility and of course speed when he was riding his Harley.  He loved nature and animals and was intrigued by the purpose of it's existence.  His humor and seriousness were both extraordinary.  He spent so many years helping others to heal while fighting his own battle.  Always the clown and got down to business when needed.  Anyone that knew Chris, or had just met him for the first time, knew he was a gentle, caring, and honest soul.  He was liked and loved by all who knew him.

Chris is survived by his soulmate; Amy Fisher, his son; Chase Borst, our Mother; Charlotte Borst, our Step-Father; Dennis Christiansen, his sisters; Cherri (Kevin) Kottke, Pam Danielle, and Julie (Dwight) Sanders, and brothers; Darcy Borst and Lance Borst, step brothers; Brad (Borst) McKay and Brandon (Borst) McKay, grandson; Conner Borst, 3 nieces and 4 nephews, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Chris was preceded in death by his father, Richard R. Borst, maternal grandparents; Ernest E. Hase and Vera (Holmberg) Hase, and paternal grandparents; Donald Borst and Shirley (Maier) Borst.

A  Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11:00am at the LaVerkin LDS Chapel located at 50 S. 300 W., LaVerkin, UT
