Douglas Farrell Chilson, age 77, passed away on May 23, 2026, in St. George, Utah, after a valiant battle with cancer.
Doug was born on July 7, 1948, in Ogden, Utah, to Eugene Francis and Cledith Farrell Chilson. He married Charlotte A. Williams on January 16, 1993, in Syracuse, Utah.
Doug was raised and educated in Utah and worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as an engineer. Doug loved soccer, where he coached, mentored, and refereed “his little gentlemen” for 19 years. He also loved spending time traveling, hunting, fishing, and enjoying Sunday dinners with family and friends. Doug never met a stranger and always had a story to tell to anyone who had time to listen.
Doug was a dedicated husband to Charlotte, his loving wife of 33 beautiful years. He was a devoted and caring father to his seven children: Kiley (Aime) Chilson of Utah; Gavin (Lyndsi) Chilson of Utah; Kris Titus of Nevada; Brandell (Brandon) Flinders of Utah; Justin Chilson of Utah; Kimberly (John) Clark, deceased; and Scott Chilson, deceased.
Doug was the proud grandfather of 15 perfect grandchildren — who, in his eyes, could do no wrong — and 14 great-grandchildren. He believed deeply in the power of family and dedicated his life to creating a loving and supportive home. Doug had an unwavering commitment to his family.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, two children, and one grandson.
