Eloise Peterson Curfew Horrocks , age 86, died peacefully with family on April 19, 2012. Eloise was born in Jensen, UT, February 16, 1926 to Oral Peterson and Sarah Ann Dudley Peterson.
Eloise was exceptionally talented with music, drawing, tooling leather and crocheting intricate handiwork. She never lost her love of the farm, the cows and her flowers. Eloise was always devout in the LDS religion. Great was her joy when called to do temple work in the Vernal Temple. She served there for approximately 3 years.
Eloise was married to John Edmond Curfew on March 3, 1943. They later divorced. She then married Delbert Horrocks on October 21, 1970, a widower from Roosevelt, UT who brought 2 more children, Peter Lynn (Jodie) Horrocks and Mary Margaret Dixon into her life.
Eloise is the mother of 4 children. She has 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She is survived by daughter, Beverly Robinson of St. George, UT; son, Donald L. (Lucinda) Curfew of Tooele, UT; daughter, Kathryn Brough of Roosevelt, UT; sister Virginia Clayton of Vernal UT; her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Eloise was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Horrocks, her son Richard Curfew, and siblings Ora Curfew, Blake Peterson, and Richard Peterson.
Memorial graveside services will be conducted at the Jensen Cemetery on Saturday, April 28, 2012, at 1:00 p.m.
