Ethan Glen Pierce

September 1, 2001 — July 18, 2025

Draper, Utah

Ethan Glen Pierce, age 23, of Draper, Utah, passed away on July 18, 2025. Ethan was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, and his presence brought light and joy to all who knew him.

Ethan was full of life and endlessly curious. From an early age, his energetic and fun-loving nature kept everyone around him smiling. His smile—truly infectious—was one of his most memorable traits. As a young boy, he was a talented soccer player and loved the game, playing with heart and enthusiasm. He also enjoyed movies, video games, and most especially, spending time with his family.

Though health challenges later in life made some of his favorite activities more difficult, Ethan faced those challenges with remarkable resilience and grace. Even when things were hard, he continued to draw people to him with his charm and endearing personality. He had a big heart, and he never stopped sharing his love with those around him.

Ethan spent several of his teenage years in St. George, Utah, where he found community and connection in his youth group of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He particularly loved serving in the temple baptistry—a role that brought him peace and purpose. He graduated from Dixie High School in 2020 and later attended Post-High School. He worked several jobs and took pride in earning and contributing.

Ethan had a deep love for movies and stories, especially the Harry Potter series, Marvel films, and The Lord of the Rings. He looked forward each year to attending FanX, where he could immerse himself in the worlds he loved. Though he didn't get to attend this year's event, the anticipation alone brought him great joy.

Among his favorite things were meals out with family—Pancho and Lefty’s, Texas Roadhouse, and Black Bear Diner were top of the list. But more than anything, Ethan cherished his time with loved ones. His special spirit made an impression on everyone he met.

Ethan is survived by his mother, Kellie Jackson; his father, Russell Pierce; his brother, Jaden; and his sisters, McKenna and Courtney. He is also survived by his maternal grandfather, Wayne Cottrell, and paternal grandmother, Kay Pierce; his uncle and aunts, Curtis (Chelsea) Cottrell, Lisa Cottrell, and Aimee (Rodney) Stirling; and cousins Kai, Dylan, Garrett, Dallin, and Hilary. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Linda Cottrell, and paternal grandfather, Glen Pierce.

A graveside service honoring Ethan’s life will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 South Dixie Drive.

Ethan’s life, though far too short, was filled with love, enthusiasm, endurance, and a spirit that touched many. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
