Eva Virginia “Gena” Sears was born on May 28, 1931, in Chester, ID, to Eva Evelean Erickson and Otis Sherman Curr. Her siblings were Judy, Hazel, and Larry. Moving to the city of Tacoma, WA in the 1950‘s; she was a charter member of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce and Lakewood Women in Business. She was the owner of her own successful consignment shop as well as co-owner of a several driving schools with her husband Bob – both in Tacoma and in St. George. She was a belly dancer with the Troupe Ali Baba and won many bowling trophies, including some right here with the Dixie Bowling League. Gena lived life to the fullest.
Ever inseparable and in love (in life and beyond) Robert and Gena very much enjoyed spending time with family and friends, boating, RV’ing and traveling. They are survived by son Terry L. Smith and his wife Lynn of Tacoma, WA; son Michael W. Sears of and his wife Cindy of Copalis Beach, WA; daughter Gena Marie Miller and her husband John of Eagle, ID; and daughter Kathryn Sears Gillespie and her husband Corey of Sequim, WA. Also, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
