Listen to Obituary

Harold Clyde Webb, age 75, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, in his home in Washington, Utah, surrounded by those he loved most. He was born on March 10, 1951, in Murray, Utah, to Dean B and Lawana Marie Williams Webb. On August 25, 1972, in the Salt Lake Temple, he married Rose Mary Trane, who became the love of his life, beginning a devoted partnership that spanned more than five decades.

Harold was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and dedicated his life to serving others. He grew up in West Jordan, Utah, and later served a mission in New Zealand. Throughout his life, he served faithfully in many church callings with love, compassion, and unwavering commitment to those around him.

Although Harold often said he wished he had earned his Eagle Scout rank, he made it his mission to help countless young men accomplish theirs. He believed deeply in helping people become more than they thought possible and was always encouraging others to recognize their own worth and potential.

Harold spent his life working hard and caring for others. Over the years he worked in home construction, at Questar Gas, and later as the owner of Comfort Cottage Assisted Living Home. Whatever role he filled, he approached his work with kindness, creativity, and a desire to serve.

Harold had many gifts and passions that blessed the lives of those around him. Music was always close to his heart. He sang in the high school acapella choir and later the Youth Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Throughout his life he continued singing with his family in ward choirs and often performed beloved Christmas solos, especially “O Holy Night.” He loved singing and dancing and brought joy wherever he went.

He was artistic and talented with his hands. While working as a custodian at an elementary school, he delighted children and teachers by creating artwork and decorations for holidays and special occasions. He was a true craftsman and handyman who built wooden rocking boats, rocking horses, leather belts, purses, and countless treasures for those he loved.

Harold loved traveling, but perhaps nowhere was he happier than in his garden. He planted beautiful flower gardens, tended his raspberry patch, and loved watering plants while listening to birds sing. He often reflected on the beauty of God's creations and found lessons of faith in everyday things, even sharing wisdom through his beloved lilac and snowball bush sermons. He loved having his hands in the dirt and finding peace in nature.

Above all else, Harold loved his family. He had a remarkable gift of making every child and grandchild feel seen, valued, and deeply loved. He was a father to many and a surrogate father to even more. His kindness, encouragement, generosity, and love extended far beyond his own family and touched countless lives.

Harold is survived by his loving wife, Rose; his children Matt and Patricia Webb, Danny and Mickelaynne Webb, Kristin and D. Bryce Alldredge, Carma and Kyle Smith, Dorian and Gaby Webb, and Ryan and Ruth Webb; 35 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild on the way; and he was welcomed into heaven by one beloved grandchild who preceded him.

Harold’s legacy of faith, service, creativity, and love will continue through the countless lives he strengthened and blessed. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
