Jack Michael Randall, 78 passed away September 6, 2025 at his home in Enterprise, Utah from complications due to cancer. He was born January 27, 1947 in St. George, Utah, to June Moe Randall and Elda Peterson Randall. Jack moved to Covina, California during his early elementary years, but cherished the time he was able to spend in St. George with his grandparents during his summer breaks. On the night of his high school graduation, Jack drove ‘home’ to St. George and southern Utah remained his home base thereafter.
Jack attended Dixie College and in 1967 married Joyce Utter, from this union his three oldest children were born. They were later divorced. In June of 1967, Jack was drafted into the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War in the 199th Light Infantry Brigade. His experiences in Vietnam left a lasting impression and his deep sense of patriotism is carried on through his children and grandchildren. After completion of military service, Jack returned home to Utah where he was briefly employed as a police officer for the St. George Police Department. Jack found his lifelong passion was in the seat of an eighteen wheeler, traveling the country, and making friends everywhere he stopped. He shared his passion of driving with his wife Susan ‘Susy’ Palmer Randall, whom he married in 1979 and spent thirty one years with before her passing in 2010. During their marriage, Jack’s two youngest daughters were born. Jack and Susy made their home in Enterprise, where they raised their family.
Jack became a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in various church callings, he especially loved working with the young men while serving in his ward bishopric. Jack was later sealed to Susy for Time and All Eternity in the St. George Temple. Jack also cherished the friendships he forged while ministering to ward members later in life. His numerous life experiences and outlook on the world around him endeared him to not only his family, but also friends new and old.
After Susy’s passing, Jack married Colleen Day on November 28, 2010. The small ceremony was held in his son Mike’s home with their combined family of nine children. Colleen’s four sons added significantly to the size of family holiday celebrations. Jack and Colleen were later sealed in the St. George Temple. Their union and combination of family, friends, and hobbies provided great joy to Jack during his later years. His final days were spent surrounded by family and lifelong friends. The family would like to thank all who have shown love and concern on Jack’s behalf.
