Janice Rae Horn Clay, 89, passed away on October 1, 2026.

Janice was born in Minnesota and grew up and spent most of her life in Whittier, California. In her later years, she made her home in St. George, Utah, where she spent her remaining years.

Anyone who knew Jan knew what a wonderful lady she was. She was eager to help others and was known for her fun-loving spirit, generosity, and kindness. She had a way of making people feel welcome and cared for, and her warm and giving heart left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Jan loved nothing more than having her family around her. She especially enjoyed hosting holidays and bringing everyone together to celebrate. She carried on the tradition of making birthday cakes, just as her own mother had done, and took great joy in celebrating the birthdays and special moments of the people she loved. For Jan, these gatherings were about much more than a holiday or a birthday—they were opportunities to create memories and surround herself with the people who meant the most to her.

Jan’s greatest legacy was the family she loved and cherished. She is survived by her four daughters, Janalee, Deborah, Cheryl, and Doreen, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family was at the heart of her life, and the love she poured into them will continue through the generations.

Jan will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, generosity, and family traditions, along with countless cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
