John "Jack" Parker Hammond, 69, passed away peacefully at his home in St. George, UT on June 22, 2010 with family close by.

Jack was born on December 31, 1940 in Pioche, NV. His family later moved to Las Vegas, NV where he attended John S. Park and Las Vegas High School. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Jack married Judith Naseef in 1959. They had three children. They later divorced. He married Rowena Mitchell in 1973. Along with her two daughters, together they had two sons. They later divorced.

The family lived in Las Vegas where Jack worked at Nevada ready Mix and Nevada Rock and Sand for many years. Jack, a retired teamster, then moved to Summit, UT and worked at Quality Concrete in Cedar City, UT

He was happiest living in Summit at the Three Chimney Ranch. He loved yard work, finding places to pour red concrete, reading daily newspapers and coming home with unexpected "treasures." he loved visiting family and friends. The Wolfman was a wonderful father and grandfather. We love you and miss you Daddy.

He is survived by his brother, Bill (Diane) of Las Vegas, NV; his seven children, Cary of Santa Rosa, CA; Kevin (Shellie) of West Valley City, UT; Lisa of St. George UT; Erin of Henderson, NV; Jill Alexander of Washington, UT; John (Ammie) of St. George, UT; Brian (Kristie) of Paragonah, UT; 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the LDS Chapel in Summit, UT. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to services, both held at the church. Burial will take place at the Summit Cemetery following the services. Arrangements are being handled by McMillan Mortuary of St. George, 435-688-8880.
