Karon Amelia Beckstrom, age 90, peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father on June 16, 2026, in her home in Ivins, Utah. She was born on January 22, 1936, in Grover, Utah to Dallas William Morrill and Pearl Reah Covington Morrill.
Karon married Kenneth Garth Beckstrom on October 25, 1954, in the Manti Utah Temple. Together they built a loving home and family.
As a devoted homemaker, Karon dedicated her life to raising five children and helping care for four grandchildren. She also worked at Desert Pharmaceutical and assisted in operating the Bridal Bit Inn alongside her husband, Ken. A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Karon found great joy in serving others through her many church callings. Her testimony, faith, and Christlike service were guiding influences throughout her life. Karon especially cherished time spent with her family. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and quilting and had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome, loved, and valued. Her kindness, generosity, and warm spirit touched countless lives and will be remembered by all who knew her.
Karon is survived by her children: Lynn (Wendy) Beckstrom, Gail Beckstrom, Terri Ann Hansen, Kent Douglas Beckstrom, and Stan Kay Beckstrom (Satit). Karen was blessed with 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. As well as her siblings Linda Hansen, Ronald Morrill and Vanetta Davenport. Her grandchildren include Chris, David, Todd, Jennifer, Alex, Joshua, Elaine, Brandon, and Kolton. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Pearl Morrill; her siblings, Wenzel Morrill, Colleen Beckstrom, Phil Morrill, Linden Morrill and Sandra Nash; her beloved husband, Kenneth Beckstrom; her grandson, Tyler Beckstrom and her daughter-in law Misil Beckstrom.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 27, 2026 at12:00 pm at the LDS Chapel at 89 E. Main St.Torrey, UT. Prior to services there will be a viewing from 11:00-11:45 am.. Interment will be in the Grover Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to return to the Torrey LDS Chapel afterward for a luncheon and time of fellowship.
Karon's legacy of faith, service, love, and devotion to family will continue to inspire generations to come. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
