Ken was born and raised in Mechanicsburg, Illinois to the parents of Paul Harold Kruzan and Ethel Kruzan. He had a wonderful small-town life and had fond memories of his youth. After his graduation from Tri-City High School, Ken went on to serve his country. Ken is a proud veteran of the Korean War. He served 1 year in the U.S. Navy and 3 years in the U.S. Army. While serving in Germany, Ken married his beloved Janet. Following his military service, Ken attended Arizona State University where he earned a degree in Civil Engineering and worked for the Army Corp of Engineers. His profession allowed him to travel and live in various states, countries, and US Trust Territories. When asked what profession he would choose if he could go back in time, he said, “farming”. He loved the idea of working the land. Upon retirement, Ken joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in various leadership capacities. He was a temple ordinance worker at the Orlando temple in Florida. His hobby became genealogy. He enjoyed learning about his family ties. Ken loved traveling, hunting, and fishing. Ken loved a good joke. He was a kind and loving husband and father.

Towards the end of his life Ken moved to St George Utah to be closer to his 2 daughters. When asked what he would like to be remembered for, his answer was, “I would like to be remembered for being kind and independent- at the age of 93, I feel like it is a big accomplishment.”  When asked what piece of advice would he like to share, his answer was, “Don’t ever give up.”
Ken never gave up. He fought the good fight to the end. Rest in love dear father.

A family graveside service will be held in Mechanicsburg, Illinois.
