We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Kyle Christensen, who departed this life on October 22, 2025 at the age of 35. Kyle was the beloved son of Jason Storey and Teri Christensen.

Born on March 13, 1990 in St. George Utah, Kyle brought immense joy to all who knew him. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his infectious laugh, kind heart, and adventurous spirit. He loved the 49ers, eating strange foods and traveling the world. He had the opportunity to travel to Kenya, Africa with his mom and left a piece of his heart there. He went on many cruises and NFL games and heavy metal concerts with his dad and brother. You would always see him crowd surfing or in the mosh pit, living life to the fullest. One of his bucket list items was to attend a 49ers game which he was able to do just months before he passed. He also had the opportunity to go on a hot air balloon ride just after being put on hospice.

Kyle loved to work and was deeply saddened by having to leave Lonny Boys when he became too sick to work. He talked daily about telling the doctors that he was fine and just wanted to go back to work. He was determined to prove them wrong. During Kyle’s final months he would spend time at the Danville day program and even though he had his own limitations he was always checking on everyone and helping in any way he could. He had the kindest heart of anyone you knew. Kyle had his own unique style, and for those of you that knew him, you know what I mean. We like to say he went down in “Kyle style”, vape in hand, sunglasses, his “stylish” hoodie and headphones on listening to heavy metal.

Kyle will be remembered as a true fighter. He was diagnosed with childhood brain cancer at the age of 6 years old, he endured multiple surgeries, radiation and chemo. His parents were told he would not survive 4 years. His determination and strength proved everyone wrong and he fought hard for 29 years.

Kyle is survived by his parents, Jason (Lori) Storey and Teri Christensen; his step mom Dawn Shultz: his brothers Kade Storey and Joshua Corbett; three sisters, his grandma Arla Storey and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wendy and Dean Bates, Mark and Gwen Christensen, and Rial Storey who passed just 2 months prior to help pave the way for Kyle.

The family would like to give its heartfelt thanks to everyone at Pioneer/Southern Utah Hospice, Dr. Karen Radley, his massage therapist Malisa and Danville Day program for all the love, care and support over the past year.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
