Listen to Obituary

Landon R. Paramore, age 40, passed away on January 23, 2026, in St. George, Utah surrounded by loved ones.

Landon was born on April 1, 1985, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Cynthia J. Reynolds and Lamar Martinez.

He was lovingly raised by his uncle, Randy Paramore, and Randy’s wife, Cynthia Paramore, who became his parents in every way. Landon was sealed to them in the St. George Utah Temple on November 1, 2019, a sacred day that meant a great deal to him and his family. Landon was a cherished member of the Paramore family and was deeply loved by his siblings: Braedon, Shenise, Chandis, Peighton and Haizlee.

He was also blessed with two paternal siblings, Charles and Denise and two maternal siblings, Ian and Madalyne.

Landon spent much of his childhood in Sandy, Utah. He was born with a congenital heart defect and was transferred shortly after birth from LDS Hospital to Primary Children’s Hospital, where he underwent his first open-heart surgery at just two days old, followed by a second surgery at the age of two. These early experiences marked the beginning of a lifetime of health challenges.

Much of his youth was spent living across the street from his Uncle Brad and Aunt Peggy Symes and their children, Colby and Colyn, where countless cherished memories were made. Landon loved playing street hockey, basketball, bowling, and spending time with his siblings, cousins, and friends.

When Landon was 15, his family moved to Broomfield, Colorado, where he spent his high school years. It was there that he developed his love for fast cars, Gundams and girls. He had an impressive collection of Homies figurines. This is also when he mastered his claw machine skills.

After many years of minor surgeries and procedures he had heart surgery again at 17 years old. He spent over 6 months in the hospital. We all still remember eating Thanksgiving dinner in the hospital cafeteria, not ideal, but we were together.

In 2005, from his first marriage, Landon welcomed his first child, Kaylyn, followed by the birth of Dallas in 2008. Landon found his greatest joy and honor in being a father.

Landon moved with his children back to Utah when they were very young.

It wasn’t long before Landon met the love of his life, Ashley Smith. They were married on January 19, 2013, in Washington, Utah. Landon is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was very happy when he and Ashley were able to be sealed in the St. George, Utah Temple for time and all of eternity on November 1, 2019. He loved being a husband and Ashley felt loved by him, every single day.

With this marriage he was blessed with two more wonderful children, McKenna and Nash. He felt extremely blessed to be a father. His children did and still do feel so loved by him. He was a kid at heart and could be found playing X-Box games, watching movies, building Gundams, having Pokemon tournaments, trading anime statues and going on late night drives with his kids.

His challenges in life didn’t harden him because despite everything he had been through his presence brought warmth, humor, and meaning to those closest to him, he understood suffering and wanted to ease the pain of everyone around him. He will be remembered for the love and compassion he shared so freely.

Landon is survived by his loving wife, Ashley. His children, Kaylyn, McKenna, Dallas and Nash. His parents, Randy and Cynthia Paramore, his siblings Braedon (Karen), Shenise (Jared), Chandis (Kristyon) Peighton and Haizlee.

Ian, Madalyn, Charles and Denise.

He is also survived by many extended family members who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his birth mother, Cynthia J Reynolds, his father- in-law, Tom Smith and mother-in-law, Carol Smith and many loved ones.
