Larry Maurice Harris, born on April 28, 1934, in Logan, Utah, passed away on August 18, 2025, in St. George, Utah. Known for his infectious humor and loving nature, Larry was always surrounded by laughter and warmth. Larry served his country in the Army from 1956 to 1959, a testament to his dedication and courage.
He was a man who cherished the outdoors, finding joy in fishing, camping, and spending time on his beloved boat. Larry was often found in his garage, working on various projects, showing his creative and industrious spirit.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Sherry Harris, and his daughter, Julie. He was also a loving father to Troy Harris (Shawna) Ogden, UT, Chris Harris (Michelle) St. George, UT, Kandi Howe (Brian) Smithfield, UT and Angel Christensen (Alan) Ogden, UT. 18 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Brothers Aldon and Max Harris, Sister Jean Hatch and his daughter Kristine Harris.
His love for his family and the time spent with Sherry, the love of his life, was boundless. Larry's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
There will be a viewing on Saturday, August 23, from 11:00-12:00pm at the Meadows Edge Ward Building located at 3860 S. Bentley Rd in St. George. A graveside service at Tonaquint Cemetery will follow. Interment at Tonaquint Cemetery.
