LaVon Asay Hall, age 85, of Hurricane, UT, passed peacefully on August 18, 2021. LaVon was born on September 20, 1935 in Washington, Utah to Ruth Asay, and Ervin Hall.
LaVon had a zest for life and lived his life to the fullest. He had the ability to make everyone smile with his quick wit and keen sense of humor. He had a love for all things outdoors, especially gardening, and would share his bountiful harvest with as many neighbors as he could. He invented many contraptions to make life easier and better and was talented enough to repair just about anything he touched. LaVon was a very hard worker and throughout his life would work 2 and 3 jobs to provide for his family. Despite the many hours he would work, he always made time for family to play games or help the children with their homework. He loved his family fiercely and was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren. He never passed up an opportunity to hold and snuggle with one of his grand babies. He will be dearly missed.
LaVon is preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Asay Hall and Ervin Hall, brothers and sisters, Vernon, Fauntella, Dale, and Ervine, and his oldest child, Wade Hall. He is survived by his loving wife, Roberta LeRae Hall of 47 years who cared for him in the last years of his life as he suffered from Parkinson’s Disease, his nine daughters, Lisa, Kathy, Debbie, Tonya, Moniqua, Shelly, Jeanette, Adina, and Crystal, twenty-six grandchildren, and thirty-two great grandchildren, as well as his younger sister, Hazel.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the team at Canyon Home Care and Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to LaVon and the family.
A memorial service will be held for LaVon on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 11:30 at the Sky Mountain LDS Chapel 452 North 2600 West, Hurricane, UT 84737.
