Keith Lawrence Hamel, age 86, passed away January 4, 2011 in Saint George, UT.
He was born on March 20, 1924 in Marysvale, UT, son of Lawrence and Jennie Robbins Hamel.
Keith graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Sociology. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Frances Cane September 4, 1949.
He retired as Vice President of Commercial Credit Insurance Company.
Keith enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing, traveling and all kinds of volunteer work.
He loved most of all spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Frances, daughter Jeni (Roy) Brown, son Mark (Jodi) Hamel, 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, and his sister Lorene Reynolds.
Graveside Services will be held Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. George City Cemetery.
