Leonard Hurst, 78, of St. George, Utah passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013. Leonard was born September 16, 1934 in Provo, Utah. He was a beloved and caring husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a life-time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Leonard worked over 20 years as a manager for Skaggs Drug Stores, and later in life as a supervisor at BYU.
Leonard is survived by his wife Verle, sons Craig (Debbie), Brad (Linda), Michael, daughter Diana (Allen) Barton, and twin brother Leon (Sue) Hurst, 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and step-children Ken (Susie) Kerby, Kevin (Susan) Kerby and Kerrie Kerby.
He was proceeded in death by his wife of fifty-five years Joyce Gustavson, and their infant daughter Micki Lyn.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Morningside 2 nd Ward Chapel, located at 879 S. River Road, St. George, Utah. A visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Interment will be in the Farmington City Cemetery at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 19, 2013.
