Lisa Adams

April 14, 1946 — February 15, 2022

Washington, Utah

Lisa W Adams peacefully passed away in the loving arms of her devoted husband of 46 years, Robert “Bob” Adams, February 15, 2022 at St. George Regional Hospital in St. George, Utah.
Lisa was born in Ogden, Utah in April of 1946 and grew up primarily in Ogden Utah. In the late 1960's at the tender age of 21 yrs. young, with two toddler daughters Jodi and Monica, in tow as she moved from Grace Idaho to Las Vegas NV. There, she found work as a showgirl at the Silver Slipper Saloon and Casino. As a single mother, she worked long hours to provide financial security for herself and her young daughters and even though being a showgirl was considered a glamorous job in those days, by the early 1970's Lisa was ready to walk away and make another big life change.

With her two pre-teen daughters at her side, she made the move back to Utah and almost immediately met Bob Adams in the winter of 1975. The two fell madly in love and quickly became inseparable. Lisa married Bob in a small ceremony in his hometown of Parowan Utah the spring of 1976 and over the next several years Lisa grew very close to her husband's family. She came to feel that she and her daughters were loved and accepted and were finally "part of a real life family" for the first time in their lives.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Adams resided for a few years in Parowan and Layton Utah where together they raised their daughters who Bob eventually and happily adopted. Lisa became a Certified Nursing Assistant working at a local nursing home and she was passionate about her patients. But the heartbreak of losing patients was more than she could take and she hung up her stethoscope in the fall of 1980. Later Lisa worked as a cosmetic consultant and made quick friends with the regular customers who visited her cosmetic counter. As grandchildren came into her life, she doted on each and every one of them and they all adored her. Lisa was a happy and energetic woman and she was not only a mother to her daughters, she was a friend. Her sense of humor saw her through difficult times, and the times her hilarious, dark humor had us rolling on the floor laughing and peeing our pants, are far too many to count.
Lisa and her husband Bob moved to Westpoint Utah where they lived for many years until the long snowy winters became too dreary and she longed for a warmer, dryer climate. The two moved for the last time 22 years ago to southern Utah and they made their home in Washington City. There, Lisa worked at Sally Beauty Supply and later Perfumania until 2010. She loved the work almost as much as she loved her clientele. Anyone who knew Lisa will tell you she was so beautiful and it's true, she was knock-out, she was also intelligent, articulate, kind and thoughtful. She was immaculate and organized too, a trait we've all tried to live up to. Lisa was an avid reader and it was not uncommon to see her with a book in hand and later her kindle was always on her lap. She took great pride in her collection of books which grew over the years to become a legitimate library. Long weekends spent camping and fishing were some of her best times spent with her family and her best friend & husband Bob.

Lisa is, and will continue to be, eternally loved and missed beyond explanation. She lives on and in the hearts of her family and we will cherish our memories with her, always, all ways.

Lisa W Adams is preceded in death by her precious newborn grandson Joseph Wade Adams-Kupka, an older brother and both of her parents.
