Marian Louise Phillips

Marian Louise Phillips passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026 in St. George, Utah.

Marian was born on April 23, 1933 in Ogden, Utah to Herman G Johnson and Francis V (White) Johnson. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1951. She married Richard Phillips in 1951, they were married for 44 years before he passed away in 1995. Marian worked at Hill Air Force Base and retired in 1991 with over 24 years of service in the Human Resources Division. After her husband died, she met Neil Anderson, another widower. They spent 24 wonderful years together. Marian was very active and traveled all over the world throughout her lifetime. She was an accomplished artist and liked to draw and paint with watercolors. Marian enjoyed playing card games and belonged to several card groups.

Marian is survived by: five of her children Brent Phillips, Washington City Ut; Mike (Colleen) Phillips, Brigham City Ut; Susan Garner, St George UT; Nanci (Roy) VanLoo, Lynden WA; Christine Shupe, Clinton UT; one sister Bonnie Brosseau, Tucson AZ; twelve grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Phillips, one daughter Colleen Bradshaw, two brothers Duane and Gale Johnson and one sister Evelyn Porter.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at the Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Boulevard, Ogden, UT 84401.
