Marilyn Ann Lefler

Marilyn Ann Johnson Lefler, 87 years old, passed away on July 13, 2025 in Hurricane, Utah.

Marilyn was born in Heber, Utah in her family home to Ronald Mark Johnson and Hazel Evelyn Lewis Johnson on May 7, 1938. She married Donnen Curtis Lefler and moved to Henderson, Nevada where she lived until 2004 when she move to Santa Clara, Utah.

Marilyn had her first baby at age 19 years old with 3 more following in the coming years. She received her GED in 1969. Marilyn was a great homemaker and took wonderful, loving, care of her family, friends and neighbors in spite the trials and challenges she dealt with on a daily basis, both mentally and physically. She enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, and playing with her grandchildren.

Marilyn leaves behind her four children; Dawn Ann Carpenter (David), Douglas Lefler (late Barbara), Kristina Blanchard (Brent) and Anthony Lefler (Brandi), 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren with two more on the way. Also two siblings Rhea Ziemer and Steven Johnson.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother Dean.

Our family would like to express great appreciation to the amazing staff at Southern Utah Hospice for the compassionate and amazing care they provided to our mother, as well as their concern and care to the rest of our family.

Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 250 East 200 South, Midway, UT on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 10:00am with interment immediately following at the Midway Cemetery, 770 W. 500 S. Midway, UT 84049.
