Marion Gibson Stewart died Thursday, June 2, 2011 in her St. George, Utah home from causes incident to age. She was 85 years old. Marion was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to James Alexander Gibson and Della Marion Edward. She was married to Ross Anderson Stewart in 1944 who preceded her in death in December 2006. She spent many years as an actress at the Bird Cage Theater at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California. She was also noted for writing and directing many award winning Road Shows for the La Habra 2nd Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which she was a lifelong member. She taught music in La Habra schools, worked as a real estate agent in the area, and was active in local political activities.

Marion is survived by her brother James A. Gibson of Bountiful, Utah, her sister Anne Rasmussen of Salt Lake City, Utah, and her four sons and daughters in-law: Brent R. Stewart of St. George, Utah, Dean K. and Debra (Sonners) Stewart of Brea, California, Blaine F. and Terry (Harris) Stewart of American Fork, Utah, and David J. and Darlyne (Laskey) Stewart of Chino Hills, California. She has 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the LDS Chapel located at 1095 E. St. James Lane, St. George, Utah at 11:00 am – family visiting from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Interment will be at Tonaquint Cemetery located at 1777 S. Dixie Dr., St. George, Utah.
