Marlan Lloyd Young was born to Sharon (Twitchell) Young and Willis Walter Young in Seattle, Washington on April 28, 1969. Marlan grew up one of 14 kids. As a child he was a little mischievous and always had a twinkle in his eye. Marlan loved to make people around him laugh as a prankster and a jokester. From a young age he loved being a rock hound, and would spend hours walking the hills to look for interesting rocks and arrowheads. He had a love for all things western from books to movies.
Marlan obtained his CDL as a young adult and began driving trucks. He loved traveling long haul around the country. One of his favorite routes was through the Colorado Mountains. While he was driving he always made sure to stop and see family. When there was a family event Marlan would drive through the night to make sure he didn’t miss it. He was always the giving kind. He would give the shirt off his back or give his last dollar to make sure others were taken care of, especially his family.
Marlan is survived by his children Kathleen Jean Lehuta (Edmond) of Missoula, Montana; Tyler Christian Young (Kassidy) of Oceanside, CA, Michaella Wilmarth of Elk City, Oklahoma; Bonnie Josephine Steele (Staton) of Beaver, Utah; Aaron Micha Steele (Karissa) of Salt Lake City, Utah; Elijah Steele (Kayla) of ChesterField, Michigan; Dallas Craig Young of Elk City, Oklahoma; and his Grandchildren: Jaydence Lane Young, Anna Belle Lehuta, Eivynd Alexander Lehuta, Jacqueline Marie Antoinette Wilmarth, Alexandra Jane Rose Wilmarth, Bentley Marie Shotwell, Zaiden James Shotwell, and Gexdan David Shotwell.
