Mary Eaton

June 18, 1952 — September 21, 2017

Mary Beth Eaton, age 65, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017, in Bella Terra. She was born June 18, 1952 to Heber C. and Jennie O. Winget of Monroe, Utah. She was sealed for time and eternity to Michael D. Eaton June 29, 1973, in the Manti Utah Temple.

Mary Beth was raised in Monroe, Utah. At the age of five her mother and sisters began to teach her piano. By the age of fourteen she was playing for ward choirs and, as a Senior in high school, played the full piano score for her high school musical. Her skills on the piano earned her several talent awards. She was an accomplished secretary, receiving many awards for speed, skill and accuracy. Mary Beth loved to travel and visited Hawaii and New York and several of the national parks and monuments with her family. Throughout her life she played the piano for LDS ward choirs, Pine View High School choirs under the direction of Norm Lister and for the community choir Leito!. Mary Beth served in several positions from accompanist in primary and church, counselor in Young Women’s, Primary Counselor, and was involved in Scouts with her sons.

Mary Beth is survived by her husband of forty-four years, Michael D. Eaton, children Amy Gubler (Jason) St. George, David J. (Ashley) Grand Junction, CO., Richard J. (BriAnna) Washington, Spencer J. (Cami) Price, UT, William J. (Dani) Las Vegas, and Matthew S. of Washington, and seventeen grandchildren; sisters Ruth Ann Johnson (Kaysville) and Evelyn Branch (Washington).

A viewing will be held on Thursday evening, September 28, 2017 from 6-8:00pm at the Washington Main Street LDS Chapel, 82 North Main, Washington, Utah.

Funeral service will be held Friday, September 29,2017 at 11:00 am, with a short viewing to be held from 10:00am-10:45am at the Washington Main Street Chapel. Interment will be in the Washington City Cemetery. The family wishes to thank all the care and love Mary Beth received from the staff and administration at Bella Terra and Zion’s Way Hospice.
