Mary Sanders

Mary Louise Stanford Sanders, 89, passed away on Sunday July 5, 2015 in St. George, Utah. Mary was born April 1, 1926 to Russell Stanford and Louisa Catherine Thomas Stanford in Texarkana, Arkansas. She was the only daughter with five younger brothers: Arthur, Ray, Dock, Harold, and Russell (Junell).
She was married to her husband James Edward Sanders, Sr. in Miller County Arkansas on May 18, 1946. They travelled extensively as part of James’ assignments in the Army Air Corp and USAF. They added two sons to the family, John David in 1962 and James Edward, Jr. in 1965. They retired from active duty in 1972, making their permanent residence in Glendale, Arizona after working in Saudi Arabia until 1977. After James passed away in 2001 Mary alternated between living with James and Julie’s family in Avondale, Arizona and John and Liz’s family in Hiko, Nevada.
Mary is survived by her youngest brother, Russell, James Jr and Julie (Jones) Sanders, their children James III (Trey), David, Sandra, and Roger, and John and Liz (Ratliff) Sanders, their children Cody, Casey, and Catelyn.
