Pamela Elliott Bryner passed away peacefully at home on September 29, 2026 at the age of 80. She was born Pamela Elliott on March 7, 1946 in Preston Idaho to Marvin Monson Elliott and Thelda Baker Elliott. She grew up in Ogden Utah and graduated from Ben Lomond High School. On October 2, 1968 she married Joseph Bryner in the Logan Utah Temple.

She earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Weber State College and a master's degree in education with an emphasis in library science from Northern Arizona University. She also attended many educational seminars and supplemental training. While working on her bachelors she worked part-time at the Emerson Stone Branch library in Ogden Utah and the Weber State College library.

Pam was an elementary school teacher/librarian for 30 years, most of that in Mesa Public Schools in Mesa Arizona. She was one of the first teachers to computerize an elementary school library in that district. As part of her teaching duties she taught all of the 900 school children each week. She knew the names of virtually all of them (sometimes, having taught several siblings, she would have to which sibling they were when in a non-classroom setting). She enjoyed teaching and working with the children.

Pam loved quilting and sewing, winning a blue ribbon for a quilt in the Arizona State fair. She loved hand and machine embroidery, often incorporating embroidery in her quilts/projects. She was a great teacher, sharing that love of quilting through teaching classes and sewing with others. She also loved reading and books, particularly children’s books, mysteries and books about quilts.

After her retirement, Pam volunteered for a number of years at the Mesa Humanitarian Center for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - quilting of course. Her main loves were quilting and her family. She loved traveling, to see her grandchildren, which turned out to be all over the United States. She was a faithful lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many church callings.

She is survived by her husband, Joe; daughter, Jolene Henshaw (Neal); son, Elliott Bryner (Colleen); and daughter Alyssa Bryner. She has seven grandchildren, Bracken Henshaw, Hannah Norton (John ), Rebecca Lervold (Josh), Jaci Henshaw, Tabitha Bryner, Miriam Bryner, Autumn Henshaw and one great grandson Rhys Lervold. She is survived by her siblings Stanley Elliot (Shirley), Kathy Weatherford ( Roy), Sister-in-law Jodie Elliott, Kenny Elliott, Sandra Vosper and many nieces.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Sun River 2nd ward located at 4461 South Country Club Drive, St. George, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to services from 11:30am-12:45pm. Following the funeral services interment will be held at the Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 S. Dixie Dr., St. George, Utah 84770.
