Patricia Watson

September 18, 1941 — August 16, 2022

St. George, Utah

Blessed Be, the Restoration of Patricia Blakley Watson who, late in the night of August 16, 2022, ascended to the higher realms of our spiritual growth.

Pat was a spirited soul, who started her story being born in Ogden Utah to Altamae and Bud Blakley on Sept 18, 1941. She was an only child and raised by her loving parents as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. She grew there and became the Mother that we all know, having married Ronald Leon Watson. She had young adventures of moving from Ogden to the Midwest with her little family just starting to grow and then returning to Southern Utah, a little later in time, to settle and continue her great works. Her family continued to grow and she enjoyed many wonderful small town experiences in Touquerville Utah. The old cradle swimming hole, picnics, out-of-town friends & family visitors, penny candy runs, town celebrations and nights at the local hot springs, to name a few of her favorites. She was a dedicated woman and gave so much of herself to others in her 30+ years at I.H.C. in the maternity ward, a little later in her life’s story. She found special friends there that she loves dearly and enjoyed working with. She expressed many times of the great rewards she felt, to be a part of this special time of life just beginning for all the little ones that she held and the mothers she comforted in times of need. She retired only when her own health was starting to decline and her own family had grown much larger by then. These later years of her story were mostly spent with her close family, friends and favorite hobby of crocheting, of which her talents were unparalleled. The meticulous patterns of each individual knot that create such beauty, is a perfect representation of her life.

She was proceeded in death by her husband and two grandsons; Ronald L. Watson, Kevin L. Watson, Beau S. Nielsen.

She is survived at this time by loving friends and her, also spirited children; Becky, Brian, Bill, Janna, Leston and Trisha.

All of which carry the responsibilities of the much larger family now. Having grown into 16 grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren, who lovingly refer to her as “Grandma The Great.”

We know that in her matriarchal years, she enjoyed watching her family grow and continue our “never-ending stories”......
