Patricia Watt Webb, age 75, died April 7, 2023, following a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She faced this diagnosis with faith in her Savior and peace in her heart. She had lived an amazing life full of love and looked forward to reuniting with her beloved daughter Pamela and granddaughter Whitney, along with her own parents and siblings who had passed previously.
Patricia Watt was born August 20, 1947 in Ogden, Utah, the 7th of 8 children born to John Leland Watt and Mary Louise Atkinson. She loved growing up in Layton, Utah and attending Davis High School. While in school she enjoyed singing in the choir and performing in school plays. Her favorite role was playing the Mother Abbess in Davis High’s production of “The Sound of Music.” She graduated from Davis High School in 1965 and began attending Weber State University.
While attending Weber State, she met Gene Webb. They were sealed on November 27, 1968 in the Salt Lake City Temple. The following year, she graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor of Science Secondary Education Degree in English. As part of her schooling, she was able to be a part of an internship teaching at a local junior high. She continued teaching until the birth of twins David and Pamela in July 1970. Sons Adam and Forrest joined the family in 1972 and 1975.
The Webb family lived in various cities in Utah including Ogden, Provo, Roosevelt, and Orem before settling in Washington, Utah in 1984. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Trish served faithfully wherever she was called. She worked at Dixie Nutrition for 17 years, and her grandkids have fond memories of getting frozen yogurt at Grandma’s work. Trish loved reading and was always found with a book, or several, anywhere she went. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, playing Sudoku, puzzles, gardening, singing, and traveling, but her greatest joy was spending time with her 11 grandchildren. She was the grandma who would always come watch the grandkids and her love for each of them was so evident. Once she and Gene retired from working, they were able to travel the world. Her favorite destinations were Palmyra, Nauvoo, and seeing church and U.S. history sites and the many cities visited on their cruise to the Mediterranean, especially Israel.
Patricia is survived by her husband Gene, son David (Stacee) and their children Morgan Moyle (Alex), Jordan (Sarah), Tanner (Meg), and Conner; son Adam (Karin) and their children Justin (Rachel), Troy, Audrey, Dallin, and Luke; and son Forrest (Rebecca) and their son Carter. We also include Terry and Crystal Evans as part of our family including their children Jonathan, Courtney, Melissa, Ryan, and Sierra, who also called Trish “Grandma”. She is preceded in death by daughter Pamela Webb Sabaitis (Jerry), granddaughter Whitney Anne Webb, parents Leland and Louise Watt, and siblings Marie Watt, Joel Watt, Diane Watt, and Ralph Watt.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 15 at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint chapel located at 115 W. 2000 S St, Washington, Utah.
