St. George, UT, Patrick (Pat) Hurley, age 74, died June 8,2026 at home after a long battle with cancer.

He was born September 1, 1951 in Santa Cruz, CA to Lawrence and Laura Hurley. He married Diane (Dee) Goldammer in Mesa, AZ on October 15, 2016. Pat is survived by his wife, Diane and his brother John (Mike) and his wife Sandy, of Lewiston, CA, and nieces Susan Bates, Brunswick, GA, Leeann (Chuck) Page, Brunswick, GA and Diane (Garret) Powers, Seattle, WA.

Pat loved growing up in Santa Cruz, he was the typical beach boy with surfing and all water sports available to him in the ocean, right across the street from his childhood home. Pat was an accomplished tennis player, winning several local and state championships. He went on to teach tennis at several resorts in Mesa,AZ

His accounting profession took him from Santa Cruz, to St. George UT, Las Vegas NV, Oklahoma City OK, Branson MO, and Mesa AZ. He retired in Mesa and relocated to the Sun River Community in St. George, UT.

Pat’s love was music. He led the local jam sessions in Sun River and was part of the group “Positive Connection” well known for entertaining at local assisted living residences, the St. George Tabernacle, and the Hurricane Peach Festival. Pat also provided karaoke entertainment for the Sun River residents for over 5 years. He would also often be seen at the Sun River Golf course as he enjoyed the challenge of the sport.

A “Celebration of Life” will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 3-5pm at the Back Spin Bistro at the Sun River Golf Course.
