Ray Vollmar Newton, 58, of St. George, Utah, passed away on December 14, 2023. He was born on April 25, 1965, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Paul and Cleda Newton. Ray, a loving husband, father, brother, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Ray married the love of his life, Jane Newton, and embraced her five children as his own. He bound their family together, always there to support and care for each member. Ray loved all of his family and cherished his friendships. Ray had a special bond with his sister, Debbie, and their conversations brought him immense joy. He treasured the happiness and guidance she brought daily into his life.
An adventurous spirit, Ray loved the beach and traveling. He found solace in the great outdoors and enjoyed camping in the mountains. Ray also had a remarkable green thumb and possessed the ability to grow anything. His love for plants was evident in his beautiful plants and flowers and a testament to his nurturing nature.
Ray is survived by his beloved wife, Jane Newton and their children: Dallas, Courtney, Dalton, Brandon (Aliece), and Trenton (Alondra) was also a proud grandfather to sixteen grandchildren. Ray is also survived by his brother-in-law, Lynn Jones, and his sisters, Debbie (Robert) Wilkins, and Paula (Lee) Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Cleda Newton, and his sister Vicky Jones.
In his early years, Ray served in the US Navy proudly representing his country. His military associations we a significant part of his life, and he carried the values he learned during his service throughout his civilian life.
Ray Vollmar Newton will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His warmth, love, and devotion to his family and friends will forever be remembered. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty of the memories he created and the love he shared.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Tonaquint Cemetery 1777 S. Dixie Drive St. George, UT 84770, on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 1:00pm.
