Richard Mark Meidlinger

Richard Mark Meidlinger was born March 24, 1962 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Richard and Betsey Meidlinger.

Rich grew up in Midvale, Utah as one of four children. This is where the reserved boy quietly went about his shenanigans and work of being a dare devil. He loved motorcycles and ATVs and was given the privilege of getting behind the handlebars at a young age. Rich could be seen riding a wheelie down the full length of Roosevelt Street. He loved his little crew of friends and they loved him. Many of whom he is still friends with to this day. Rich had a deep love of music. He could name almost any song from the 60’s and 70’s and still listened to mostly those decades exclusively.

He was a quick wit and could pull off a great one-liner. This he did with a subtle smirk and a twinkle in his eye.

What you always took away after spending time with him was that he was a kind, good man. He was easygoing and never wanted or needed to be the center of attention. He was perfectly content being around loved ones whether he was participating in the conversation or not. He was attentive and aware of the needs of others and would do anything for anyone.

Rich will be missed beyond measure by those who were lucky enough to find themselves in his circle. We lost one of the good ones far too soon.

Rich was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a full-time mission in the Ventura, California mission.

Preceded in death by his parents. Survived by his three sister, Diane Romney (Steve), Janet Svendsen, and Connie Judd (Randy); his son, Mckay Meidlinger (McKenna) and granddaughter Ella; his wife, Cheri; stepchildren, Laura, Nic, Zac, and Sadie.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, October 2, 2026 at the LDS church building located at 2583 E 350 N in St. George, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to services from 10:30-11:15am. Interment will be held Saturday, October 3, 2026 at the Memorial Holladay Cemetery located at 4900 S Memory Lane in Holladay, Utah.
