St. George, Utah — Sally Foy Berger, age 81, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026 surrounded by her family, in St. George, Utah. She was born January 27, 1944, in Bingham, Utah, to Rex and Ida Foy.

Sally was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she attended South High School. It was there that she met her high school sweetheart, Steven Berger. The two were married in the Salt LakeCity Temple on October 12, 1961, beginning a devoted marriage that spanned more than six decades.

After their marriage, Sally and Steve made their home in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, where they raised their two daughters. Following the birth of her second daughter, Sally was diagnosed with lupus, later also battling rheumatoid arthritis. Though she faced significant health challenges throughout her life, Sally met them with remarkable strength and quiet determination. She endured pain without complaint and was never one to seek sympathy, showing resilience and grit in everything she did.

Following Steve’s retirement, Sally and Steve embraced a love of travel, selling their home and purchasing an RV. Together they explored much of the western United States, frequently visiting Oregon, California, and New Mexico. They later spent several years in Las Vegas, Nevada, where they purchased an RV pad and made many happy memories. Eventually, Sally and Steve settled in St. George, Utah, where they lived for the past 15 years. Even then, they continued traveling to their favorite destinations. Sally especially enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, where she loved good food, the excitement of slot machines, and time spent together.

Sally will be remembered for her strength, perseverance, and deep love for her family. Her quiet courage and steadfast spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
