Sandra “Sandi” Almira Bott, age 79, of St. George, Utah, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 21, 1946, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Arthur and Almira Kerswell, and was the youngest of ten children.
Sandi was first married to the late Larry Lee Carter, with whom she had her daughter Tina Petersen (Matt). She later married the love of her life, Russell Anthony Bott. Through her marriage to Russell, she lovingly embraced his four children—Cory Evans, Bret Bott (April), Tim Bott (Staci), and Melissa Robison—as her own.Together they had Nicole Lynn Campbell (Jason) who preceded her in death. It was a Hers, His and Ours family dynamic.
Sandi lived a life centered on her family, her faith, and the simple joys that brought her happiness. She was a proud grandmother of 24 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, each of whom she loved dearly. Known for her remarkable sense of humor, Sandi was often the heart of family gatherings, bringing laughter with her quick wit and perfectly timed remarks.
A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daySaints, Sandi found great joy in serving others, especially through her humanitarian efforts within her ward. She will be remembered for her compassion, her warm and welcoming nature, and her thoughtful care for those around her. Her love for her family was constant and unwavering, and her legacy will live on in the cherished memories she leaves behind. It brings comfort to imagine her joyful reunion with her daughter, parents, and many loved ones who have gone before her.
Viewing services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026 from 9:30-10:45 am. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1068 Chandler Drive, St. George, Utah 84770. Interment will follow at Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 South Dixie Drive, St. George, Utah 84770.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McMillan Mortuary, 499 East Tabernacle Street, St. George, Utah 84770.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Dixie Home Hospice for the loving care and kindness they showed Sandi in her final days.
