Shanna Carolyn Larsen Boyce

Dear Family and Friends,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Shanna Carolyn Larson Boyce, age 80, of St. George, Utah. She returned to the presence of her loving Heavenly Father on March 19, 2026, peacefully, with her family by her side.

Shanna was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on April 29, 1945, to Irma and Shand Knudsen. From an early age, she had a deep love for horses. Later in life, she moved to St. George, Utah, and spent time raising and training Morgan horses. She also lived briefly in Kanarraville, Utah, where her passion and gift with horses blossomed. Beyond horses, she loved painting ceramics and dedicated many years to foster care with Rain Dancer Youth Services.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Shand and Irma Knudsen, her brother-in-law and sister, Ben and Elaine Franklin, her son, Corey Dean Larson, and her grandson, George M. Scott V.

She is survived by her son, Martin Ray Larson, and daughter-in-law, Teresa E. Larson; her daughter, Shalyndee Jones, and son-in-law, Mike Jones; her sister, Karen McBride; and seven living grandchildren: Preston Scott, Nathan Scott, Joshua Scott, Andrew Scott, Lacey Harward, Wyatt Larson, and Sadie Ellis. She also leaves behind 13 cherished great-grandchildren.

Shanna treasured every moment she spent with her family and grandchildren. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful memory care staff at Spring Gardens and the hospice care team for their loving support. At Shanna’s request, a private family service will be held on May 16, 2026.
