Sharon Rose Winn, age 68,  passed away in her home in St George, Utah on May 31, 2023. Sharon was a quick learner and became an administrative assistant to the base commander on Hickam AFB.  Once Sharon competed for an early promotion and was selected for that promotion.  As an additional reward she was given the opportunity to fly in a T-33 trainer jet with the pilot.  She was given the stick and allowed to fly the plane. It began her love of jet fighters. To this day she would let out a scream when she heard a jet fly over.

Later, she was selected to go to the Air Force paralegal school from which she graduated and became a military paralegal. After moving to Colorado, she continued her career.  She later separated from the Air Force and became the executive assistant to the president of an architectural firm in Colorado Springs.

After her marriage to Rodney Winn, his job took them to Cleveland,Ohio. It was there she began working for the Department of Defense General Counsel's office as a civilian paralegal.  It was also in Ohio that Sharon joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Sharon and Rod were sealed in the Washington DC temple on November 8, 1997.  Sharon began her love for playing the piano and quilting while living in Ohio.  She has made several beautiful quilts that adorn her home.

Sharon was blessed to serve as a temple ordinance worker in both the Columbus, Ohio and St George, UT temples for 5 years each.  She and her husband also served a mission in Johannesburg, South Africa from February 2017 to August, 2018.
