Washington, Utah

St. George, UT— Sherrill (Skip) K. Pugh, 84, passed away in his home in Washington, UT, on December 4, 2020, surrounded by his family. Skip was born on June 7, 1936, in Kanab, UT, to Clarence Duffin Pugh and Naomi LaVee Pope. He was the second of six children. On June 22, 1957, he married Deanna Elaine Curtis in Las Vegas, NV. Later, their marriage was sealed for eternity in the St. George Temple on November 7, 1958.

Being the fearless man he was, Skip accomplished his goal of owning his own business by the age of 30. He also fulfilled his lifelong dream of piloting his own private plane. Skip’s passion for flying created many unforgettable memories for his family. He was given the gift of a beautiful tenor singing voice. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Skip enjoyed sharing this gift by singing and acting in a variety of church and community performances.

Skip is survived by his wife Deanna of Washington; two sons and one daughter, Cory, Stacie (Bret) Smith, and Steven (Stacey); and seven grandchildren. His surviving siblings are DeRay, Marilyn, Karen, Ron and Clare. Skip is preceded in death by his parents and his son Curtis.

Skip will be remembered for his cheerful, positive, friendly attitude. His smile, laughter and great sense of humor will be greatly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Funeral arrangements made under the direction of McMillan Mortuary. Heartfelt gratitude to the many Dixie Home Hospice caregivers.
