Stanley Paul Codiga DDS, 94, passed away peacefully at Primrose Retirement Community in Washington Utah, with his family by his side on Dec. 31, 2021.

Stanley was born on March 13, 1927 in Ripon, California to Joseph and Margaret Codiga. Stanley was raised in Modesto California. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1944; he occupied Japan when WWII ended. He later attended college at U.C. Berkley and U.C.S.F. He returned to Modesto in the mid-fifties to practice dentistry as one of three founder of “Dentistry for Children.”

He was a long time member of the Rotary Club, Modesto Swim & Racquet Club, Central Catholic Boosters Club, and Sportsman of Stanislaus. He loved playing tennis and was a member of Deep Canyon Tennis Club in Palm Desert. He especially loved going to Twain Harte, the beach in Aptos and traveling in France and Italy. He spent time attending his grandchildren’s athletic competitions and artistic endeavors. He had many friends but most of all he loved and adored his companion and love of his life-his wife, Vivian Rose.

Stanley is preceded in death by his beloved wife of sixty seven years Vivian, his parents Joseph and Margaret Codiga and his sister Joann M. Tocalino. He is survived by his three sons Stanley Paul Jr., David Codiga (Susan), Dr. Michael Codiga (Kelly) 9 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

The family is planning a private memorial in Twain Harte, California in the spring.
