Teri Lee Jones passed away on March 17, 2026 at 4:30 a.m., deeply loved and carried in the hearts of those closest to her.
Teri graduated from South Summit High School in Kamas, Utah, and later earned an Associate degree in Child Development from Southern Utah University. Her love for people guided much of her life, especially in the work she did with disabled adults, where she formed genuine friendships and treated those she supported with care and respect.
She found great joy in being around children. Teri loved creating fun experiences for neighborhood kids, often planning small gatherings and activities that brought laughter and excitement. Her playful and creative spirit made her someone children naturally adored.
A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Teri served in several callings. Teaching the Sunbeams was especially meaningful to her, and she cherished the opportunity to work with young children in that role.
Being a grandmother was one of the greatest joys of Teri’s life. Her grandson, Jasper, brought her endless happiness, and she treasured every moment she spent with him.
Teri loved her family and friends deeply and built strong connections throughout her life. She is survived by her husband, Richard Douglas Jones; her daughter, Kodie McFadden (Ian); her stepdaughter, Makayla Jones; her grandson, Jasper; her mother, Sharon Larsen; her father, Lee Laursen (Valory); her siblings, Douglas J. Laursen, Denille Gines (Mark), and Mitchell Wayne Laursen; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Teri will be remembered for her generous heart, her laughter, and the way she brought light into the lives of those around her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
We take peace in the knowledge that families are forever and that we will see her again.
