Vernon Terrell

d. April 20, 2012

Vernon Richard Terrell passed away April 20, 2012 at the age of 92, and is now reunited with his beloved wife Norma. Vernon was born October 10, 1919 in Salt Lake City where he spent his childhood. Vernon graduated from South High School in 1935 at the age of 16. The following year he joined and served one tour with the Navy. After serving in the Navy, Vernon joined the Coast Guard, where he was in service during WW II. Vernon married his childhood sweetheart Norma Putnam in 1945 and they moved to Southern California where they had 65 years together before her passing in June of 2010. Vernon’s working years were dedicated to Sav On Drugs, and his one joy, besides his family, was his golfing, which he played well into his eighties. Vernon was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Words cannot express the loss we feel with his passing.

Vernon is preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Terrell, his brothers James and Robert, his sisters Virginia and Margaret, and his beloved wife Norma.
Vernon is survived by his children: Kathy Little (Jim), Ann Beshell (Clyde) and Rheo Terrell; his grand children Kelly Blodgett (Josh), Ariana Rinaldi (Jeff), Dan Beshell (Heather), Kate Kovacs (Zolton), Stephanie Beshell, Tyler Beshell, Rob Terrell, Brandon Terrell, and Jonathan Terrell (Lindsay). Vernon is also survived by his great grandchildren Erci, Ryan, Conor, Evan, Izabella, Pierce, Tanner, and Violet.

Dad, we couldn’t have hoped for a better father than you were. Our Love is forever.

Grandpa, you are forever dear in our hearts. Thank you for the love and patience you have shown us and our children through the years. You are an amazing
grandfather and friend, and we will miss you so very much. We smile when we remember the rides in the golf cart to pick up the paper and sneak a donut grandma didn’t know about. We love you and miss you, but we know that you are in a better place and we will see you again one day.
